Arnold Spinner, Ph.D.
Interim Dean, Graduate School of Education
As Interim Dean, Arnold Spinner acts as the principal administrative officer of the Graduate School of Education. Dean Spinner joined the Graduate School of Education in 2010 as the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. During his tenure at Touro GSE, he has coordinated new courses, established new programs, assisted with facilities, Touro's GSE accreditation and managed the daily central academic operations of the GSE. Dean Spinner also served as the Director of the Office of Sponsored Programs for a period of two years.
Prior to joining Touro, Dean Spinner was an Associate Dean at NYU Steinhardt, a position he held for over forty years. In addition to his role as an Associate Dean, he served as a faculty member in the departments of Administration and Communications. Dean Spinner was a Director of the Center for Graphic Communications Management and Technology at NYU. He has consulted with many Fortune 500 companies such as: Xerox, HP, and Agfa.
During his long career, Dean Spinner taught in Spain and Brazil. In addition, he served on several corporate boards as a consultant including CGI, Print America, the Deafness Research and Training Center, SCPS Master Program, Binding Us Together and the Metropolitan Center. His research has been funded by NYS Dept. of Education, US Dept. of Labor, and NYC Health and Hospital Corporation.
