The Curious Incident of Diverse Students Learning Together in the General Education Classroom

This workshop provides in-service teachers with the information they need to work with K-12 students diagnosed with Level I and Level II Autism in the General Education classroom. Participants will learn about cognition and neurology and the core challenges associated with language and communication, social skills, behavior, and processing and associated implications for program planning and service delivery. This session includes Teaching, Learning, and Behavior Strategies for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as how to collaborate as a member of a multidisciplinary team with all service providers and effectively interact with families.
