The Lander Center for Educational Research

The Lander Center supports innovative research and outreach programs to better equip schools—and our students—for the challenges of 21st century education.

Founded in 2005, the Lander Center for Educational Research (LCER) oversees all research and outreach efforts at the Graduate School of Education.  In keeping with the Touro College mission, LCER’s programs are designed to address the needs of traditionally underserved student populations grades K-12 and beyond.

LCER receives grants to work with regional school districts and offers faculty development, professional training, and access to numerous resources and literature reviews.

Equity Assistance Center
Funded by a federal grant, LCER's largest project is the Equity Assistance Center (EAC) for Region II, which includes New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. It is one of 10 centers, funded under Title IV of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, designed to provide equal opportunity for achievement to all students.
