Hebrew Academy of Nassau County seeking Teaching Assistant

The Hebrew Academy of Nassau County in West Hempstead, NY is seeking a full-time classroom teaching assistant starting January 27th. This school is part of the CAHAL program, a yeshiva and day school special education program that serves the Jewish communities in Nassau County and Queens. The school is a consortium of schools offering self-contained classes for children in grades kindergarten through 12 with learning issues and disabilities.

The hours are Monday-Thursday 8:10am- 3:50 pm and Friday from

8:10 am – 1:35 pm.

This is an opportunity for the teaching assistant to be guided and mentored on the job in curriculum, childhood development, pedagogical practices, methodological skills, differentiated instruction, and behavior modification techniques.
