Especially in times like these, students look to their educators for knowledge, trust, and support. That’s why Touro GSE’s affordable online and in-person master's programs in education and special education, available for beginning or experienced teachers, are infused with as much rigor as they are compassion.
Choose from four in-demand majors: Early Childhood Education and Special Education, Birth-Grade 2; Childhood Education and Special Education, Grades 1-6; Jewish Childhood Education and Special Education, Grades 1-6; or Teaching Students with Disabilities, Grades 7-12.
In whichever program you choose, you'll learn a variety of innovative pedagogical approaches and apply your new skill set in actual classrooms. We also offer state-required seminars and test prep workshops, gearing you up for NYSED teacher certification.
Most of our faculty were long-time public school teachers and administrators. Now, they're professors-slash-mentors, who know education policies inside and out, and will support you every step of the way.
Year after year, Touro GSE is ranked in New York State in terms of awarding Master of Education degrees to Hispanics, African Americans and Asian Americans. Learning within a diverse cohort will make you even more prepared and motivated to teach in today's ethnically and culturally diverse classrooms.
Through our interactive online format, study at your own pace and complete all coursework online, with the exception of clinical experiences. That way, you can balance work, family, and other responsibilities. Prefer in-person? As long as we can safely do so, we’ll continue to offer classes on our campuses in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and Long Island.
