Teach the change you want to see in the world.

Get the clinical preparation and the certification you need to teach in New York State. At the Touro Graduate School of Education, we offer seven Master's degree and seven advanced certificate programs, in fields ranging from School Leadership to Bilingual Special Education. Though the programs vary, their foundation is the same  - in each you’ll learn how to teach, master your subject area, gain an understanding of the range of students in your classroom and learn modern teaching methods.

Education with Empathy

Since opening in 1993, we’ve worked tirelessly to improve the educational opportunities and lives of all children. Over 75% of our graduates go on to teach in the public school system, and many are actively engaged in community service.

Learn from Experience

Fieldwork is integral to all of our programs. Most students complete an internship or practicum in a real classroom, under the close supervision of an experienced teacher.

You’ll find mentors among our accomplished faculty, most of whom were long-time public school teachers and administrators. Your professors will provide individualized support and prepare you for the unique challenges of teaching in New York’s diverse classrooms. They may even help you find a job.

Flexible Options

Many GSE students work part- or full-time, and have commutes or family obligations that limit their schedules. To accommodate our students’ needs, we offer afternoon, evening, Sunday, and online courses, and our campuses are conveniently located in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island.

Whether you’re an experienced educator seeking professional or advanced certification or an aspiring teacher looking for a rigorous—and affordable—program, we’ll help you learn how to make a difference in the lives of children.
