This public forum will feature a hearing by the Task Force at the Touro Law Center in Central Islip.  Testimony will be discussed from invited experts in juvenile justice, human services, law, child development, and trauma, as well as personal impact stories.  Members of Touro College staff are invited to attend.  Additionally, a question and answer session will be included.  The topics to be covered include the intersection of race and poverty feeding the prison pipeline, the impact of parental and familial incarceration on children and siblings, childhood trauma and its relationship to delinquency in youth, effective interventions and more.
