Join us to learn more about the Touro University Teacher Residency Program program
The Teacher Residency Program, a collaborative initiative between NYC Public Schools (NYCPS) and Touro University Graduate School of Education (GSE). This program offers aspiring educators the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive financial support, and start their journey toward a fulfilling teaching career.
During this session, we will cover:
- Program details and benefits, including a $30,000 annual stipend.
- Eligibility requirements (bachelor’s degree required, no prior teacher training program).
- Clinical experience opportunities (1,000 hours at an NYCPS school).
- The two-year teaching commitment at NYCPS after completing the residency.
- Mentorship from skilled teacher leaders.
