This event is the third of a six-part series. The Deep Equity Now series is about preparing educators to elevate beyond the safe and performative aspect of equity, into the space that Baldwin describes as "go[ing] for broke."

It is here that our work becomes transformative, as we learn how to put it all on the line.

This webinar will take place on March 9, 12:30 pm (PST)/ 3:30 pm (EST).

What exists at the intersection of equity and intersectionality? As the identities of our students, faculty, communities become more diverse and complex, the overlapping of individual characteristics and community memberships requires equity that is 3 dimensional, and no longer singularly focused. Dr. Crystal Moore joins us for this conversation to talk about how equity and intersectionality plays out in her work as an educational scholar and practitioner. An enrolled Tribal member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, Dr. Moore will share with us how she leverages her own intersectionality to act equitably on behalf of cultural preservation, revitalization and capacity building through information and communication technologies for U.S. Indigenous Peoples.
