Commencement Ceremony
Commencement will be in person on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Coney Island Amphitheater. The nearest subway station is Stillwell Avenue on West 15th Street - the Q, N, D, F lines are there, and it is about 6 blocks via the boardwalk to the Amphitheater. Public parking can be found at Maimonides Park - 1904 Surf Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11224 between West 15th and West 20th Street. Flat rate: $13 All Day. Concession stands will be onsite and there is a restaurant attached to the Amphitheater.
The Commencement Ceremony begins promptly at 2:00 p.m. Graduates enter at 12:30 p.m. Doors open for guests at 1:00 p.m.
NOTE: The Coney Island Amphitheater is a private property. No weapons of any kind are permitted on the premises.
Graduates, Get Ready for Commencement
May 1 is the last day to apply for a June conferral date. You must apply for graduation (September 2021, January 2022 or June 2022) in order to participate.
Order Your Caps & Gowns
You can order your caps and gowns from Oak Hall. The regalia, which is at no cost to you, will be delivered directly to the address you enter on your order form. Once you receive your cap and gown, feel free to post your photos and videos with your friends and family via your social media platforms with hashtag #tourograd22 or you can email your photos or video (no longer than 20 seconds) to TouroGST@gmail.com no later than Friday, June 3. We will use them for a slideshow to be played at commencement.
Friday, May 20 is the last day to order your cap and gown.
Ticketing Info
Tickets will be distributed beginning Wednesday, May 25. Each graduate school has a distribution plan. Contact your school representative below for details.

Each candidate will receive three tickets: One ticket marked GRADUATE and two tickets marked GUEST. No one will be permitted to enter the Amphitheater without a ticket.
All guests from age three and above must present a Guest ticket at the entrance to the Coney Island Amphitheater. Children two years old and younger do not need a ticket.
When you come to claim your tickets, you will also receive an official invitation to the Commencement 2022 Ceremony and a gift commemorating this milestone in your professional career.
If available, extra guest tickets will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis Memorial Day week according to each graduate school’s plan. Contact your school representative listed above for details.

What if I arrive late?
Any graduate arriving later than 1:30 p.m. may be denied entrance to the Coney Island Amphitheater or may be seated in the general audience section at the discretion of Touro University and Coney Island Amphitheater staff.
How should I dress?
Please dress consistent with a professional ceremony. Jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, or flip-flops are not appropriate attire for the Commencement 2022 Ceremony.
Are there accommodations for people with disabilities?
Yes. The Coney Island Amphitheater is fully ADA compatible.
