Suzanne Pratt is an Assistant Professor at Touro University and the former Co-Director of Teaching Residents at Teachers College (TR@TC), a residency model teacher preparation program at Teachers College, Columbia University. As a teacher educator, Suzanne has worked closely with prospective, pre-service, and in-service teachers, students, school leaders and other school community members to create networks of learning that are designed to encourage creative problem solving and pedagogical innovation in teaching and learning.
Suzanne has worked in the field of education for over 20 years in primary, secondary, and postsecondary settings. She has collaborated with universities and organizations in the United States and internationally to strengthen teacher learning in various contexts. Her research interests include teacher learning and development—with a particular focus on residency-model teacher preparation, community development in educational contexts, and intergenerational learning.
