Andrea Kane

Ms. Andrea Kane attended SUNY at Stony Brook where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in English. She earned her Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Queens College and her administrative licenses (SBL and SDL) from SUNY at Stony Brook. As English teacher and English Department Chair at a Long Island, New York public high school, Ms. Kane has taught all academic levels, with a focus on inclusion and ESL classes. She has taught various education courses in the Masters in Literacy program at SUNY Stony Brook and is thrilled to be working with the graduate students at Touro College. Her 35 years in education have given her the opportunity to share her communication skills with passion and energy.


Ms. Kane has presented at the NYS TESOL and NYSABE conferences and presented at Professional Development Workshops sponsored by the New York State Reading Association. She has been a curriculum writer for her school district and is the co-author of a writing competency textbook. She is eager to help our new teachers succeed in the world of 21st century education.
