Dr. Schindelheim is an Associate Professor of Education and Special Education in the Graduate School of Education. He is the coordinator of Staten Island off site locations for the Graduate School of Education. In addition to his position at Touro College, he developed the graduate courses-Effective Behavioral Management Techniques and Strategies for the New York City Department of Education, and Relieving Classroom Stress for the United Federation of Teachers. Additionally, he presents workshops on behavior management techniques for teachers who deal with classroom disruptions. Dr. Schindelheim is recognized as an authority on educational professional development in the areas of special education and classroom and behavior management. His doctoral dissertation and subsequent research is in the area of teacher effectiveness and professional development. He has presented papers and presentations at national and international conferences and is a recognized authority on classroom and behavior management for special education teachers.
